Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Legacy Support & Migration in Saudi Arabia
Alcatel — later Alcatel-Lucent — built a substantial KSA install base through the 1990s and 2000s, particularly across hospitality, education, and government sectors. The OmniPCX Office and OmniPCX Enterprise platforms were widely deployed at chain hotels (especially European and French-affiliated brands), KSA universities, and ministry buildings. The 4400 series predates OmniPCX and is still operational at some long-tenured customer sites.
EIE has supported Alcatel-Lucent installations across this lineage. We’ve maintained OmniPCX systems through the Alcatel-direct, Alcatel-Lucent post-merger, and Nokia-acquisition periods. The engineering memory is real — extension dial plans, hotel guest-billing integrations, voicemail systems, ACD/contact-center applications, and Reflexes-phone families.
This page is for IT directors managing an Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX or 4400 platform — what we support, what we migrate, and the engineering depth we bring.
Alcatel-Lucent platforms we support
OmniPCX Office — small to mid-business platform widely deployed across KSA SMB, branch offices, smaller hotels, and clinics. EIE supports OmniPCX Office across all releases including OmniPCX Office Compact, Premium, and Rich versions.
OmniPCX Enterprise — large enterprise platform deployed across KSA banks, government, large universities, and hospitality chains. EIE supports OmniPCX Enterprise across releases R8 through R12 and beyond.
4400 series — predecessor to OmniPCX; still operational at some long-tenured KSA customers. EIE supports 4400 cabinets where parts remain sourceable.
OXO Connect — current generation OmniPCX Office Connect; still supported by Alcatel-Lucent / ALE but commonly migrated to Mitel for vendor consolidation.
OpenTouch — Alcatel-Lucent’s collaboration suite; commonly migrated to Mitel UC for hospitality customers.

What support looks like for Alcatel-Lucent in 2026
Diagnostic engagements — OmniPCX Office and Enterprise diagnostics, T1/E1 trunk troubleshooting, ISDN BRI/PRI issues, SIP trunking diagnostics, ACD overlay tuning, voicemail support.
Parts sourcing — OmniPCX cabinets, line cards, processor boards, common control, power supplies. Reflexes and 4-series digital phone replacements through secondary-market suppliers. EIE maintains relationships with European secondary-market suppliers (where most Alcatel-Lucent legacy parts circulate).
Configuration backup — periodic OmniPCX Office and Enterprise configuration export, capturing dial plan, hunt groups, ACD logic, voicemail box configurations, hotel guest-billing rules.
Voicemail support — OmniPCX integrated voicemail and OpenTouch Messaging diagnostic and configuration.
Hospitality integration — Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX with Opera, Protel, IDS, and Mews PMS integration. Hotel-specific configuration: wake-up calls, room status, mini-bar charge posting, do-not-disturb.
Annual support contracts — flat-fee support agreements with on-site spares, scheduled visits, response SLA.
Migration paths for Alcatel-Lucent customers
Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office → Mitel MiVoice Business — small/mid-market path. OmniPCX Office configurations export, dial plans port, voicemail data migrates. Reflexes phones replace with Mitel 6800i SIP or 6900 series. Migration timeline 4-10 weeks.
Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise → Mitel MX-ONE — large enterprise path. OmniPCX Enterprise dial plans port to MX-ONE numbering plan. ACD and contact-center applications rebuild on Mitel MiContact Center Enterprise. OpenTouch Messaging migrates to MiCollab. Migration timeline 8-16 weeks.
Alcatel-Lucent 4400 → Mitel — 4400-era estates typically migrate to MiVoice Business unless scale justifies MX-ONE. Older platforms have slimmer migration data tooling, requiring more discovery time.
Hospitality migrations — KSA hotels running OmniPCX with PMS integration migrate to Mitel MX-ONE / MiVoice Business with HSIM PMS integration. EIE has delivered this path multiple times across French-affiliated hotel chains in KSA. The HSIM integration depth becomes the strategic upgrade reason.
Why EIE for Alcatel-Lucent legacy in KSA
Hospitality vertical depth — KSA hotels with Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX often have French-chain affiliation (Accor / Mövenpick / Pullman heritage). EIE’s 40-year hospitality experience covers exactly these customer profiles.
European secondary-market sourcing — Alcatel-Lucent legacy parts circulate primarily through European suppliers. EIE maintains those relationships from years of sourcing for KSA customers.
Mitel migration certainty — Alcatel-Lucent-to-Mitel migrations are well-trodden in the KSA market. EIE has delivered them across hospitality, government, and education customers.
Three KSA offices — Jeddah HQ, Madinah, Riyadh.
Frequently asked questions
Is Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office still supported? ALE (Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise — the post-Nokia spin-off) provides current support for OXO Connect (current OmniPCX Office) and OmniPCX Enterprise. Older OmniPCX Office releases are end-of-support. EIE provides post-vendor support across all OmniPCX generations.
Can I still buy Reflexes phones? New Reflexes phones are no longer manufactured. Secondary-market and remanufactured-phone suppliers continue to provide most Reflexes models. EIE sources Reflexes 4010/4020/4035 and 4-series 4029/4039/4068 phones through European secondary-market channels.
My OmniPCX Enterprise R10 is in a KSA bank. Should I migrate? R10 is in late end-of-support phase. Migration to Mitel MX-ONE is the typical answer for KSA banking estates with 12-18 months planning horizon, particularly when SAMA Cybersecurity Framework requirements are introduced.
What happens to my OmniPCX hotel guest-billing integration when we migrate? Hotel guest-billing logic (charge-posting per room, wake-up dispatching, room status sync) is rebuilt on Mitel HSIM (Hospitality Service Integration Module) with bidirectional integration to Opera / Protel / IDS / Mews PMS. The functionality continues; the underlying platform changes.
Will my Reflexes Advanced phones work after Mitel migration? No — Reflexes is Alcatel-Lucent-platform proprietary. Migration includes phone replacement, typically Mitel 6900 series for office use and Mitel hospitality phones for hotel rooms.
How long does an OmniPCX Enterprise to Mitel MX-ONE migration take? 8-16 weeks for typical KSA enterprise estates. Multi-site hospitality estates with PMS integration scope can extend to 18-22 weeks. Parallel-cutover delivery for zero-downtime fallback.
